SolRiver Capital is seeking an M&A Associate to facilitate SolRiver’s ongoing flow of solar + storage project acquisitions. This position is for someone with 1-2 years experience of renewable energy project acquisition and financing transactions.



The Mergers & Acquisitions Associate supports the origination, structuring, negotiation and execution of acquisitions and investments for SolRiver Capital’s portfolio of solar and energy storage assets. This is a highly-visible role within the organization and presents an opportunity to gain significant exposure to the US renewable energy sector in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.


SolRiver Capital is a rapidly growing solar investment fund focused on acquiring and operating distributed generation and utility scale projects. Founded in 2016 by solar and storage finance experts, SolRiver utilizes an innovative yet disciplined investment approach to acquire clean energy assets across the country. We began with a single $3MM system, and four years later we have projects in 8 different states, with $200MM to deploy over the next twelve months.   • Work with team to evaluate potential investment opportunities;
  • Develop detailed financial models for solar and storage acquisition and financing transactions;

  • Participate in all aspects of due diligence activities, including coordinating with construction, operations, legal, tax and accounting teams to validate assumptions;

  • Assist with the preparation of investment memoranda and presentations;

  • Conduct research and analysis to screen and qualify potential M&A opportunities;


  • Experience with solar project development and financing a must.

  • Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

  • Strong fundamental understanding of finance, accounting and valuation principles.

  • Demonstrated ability and experience developing and managing complex financial models.

  • Driven, self-starter with a passion for excellence.

  • May require extended hours.

  • Requires an understanding of how financing contract terms and conditions influence SolRiver’s investment performance.

  • Experience on internal deal teams as well closing with external capital partners.

  • Proficiency with Excel and solar project financing concepts is critical.

  • Must be a friendly, persuasive, and diligent person comfortable juggling many phone calls.
